What does IEEE stand for?
The initials I-E-E-E represent the legal name of the IEEE,
the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
IEEE is pronounced "EYE triple E." The IEEE is a global
technical professional society serving the public interest
and members in electrical, electronics, computer, information
& other technologies.
How do I become a member of IEEE?
There are several grades of membership from Associate
to IEEE Fellow. For more information, visit the

How can I contact Member Service?
Member Services Associates answer inquiries from members
concerning all aspects of their membership and non-members
wanting information about the IEEE and how they
can join.

How can I contact Customer Service?
Orders can be placed 24 hours a day 7days a week via the
web @ http://shop.ieee.org/store. Customer Service associates
are available to place an order or to handle inquiries
from 8:30 AM-5:00AM Monday-Friday EST. Customer Service
can also be reached by phone, email or fax.

What does the IEEE offer students?
The IEEE offers students a range of products and services,
as well as the opportunity to network with other students,
professors and other engineers. For more information on

How can I get information about IEEE conferences?
The IEEE sponsors more than 300 conferences each year,
including technical conferences, workshops, professional/careers/technical
policy meetings, and standards working group meetings.
In addition, the IEEE is involved in almost 200 "topical
interest" meetings, either as consultants to the technical
